• Detached ADUs: Free-standing buildings separate from the main multi-family structure.
• Conversion ADUs: Transforming existing non-livable spaces, such as garages or basements, within the main building into functional housing units.​ The number of ADUs permitted depends on local jurisdiction, but general guidelines include:
• Up to two detached ADUs per multi-family lot.
